Finials

Here are the first 3 finials that I am making from brick clay. They will be installed on the top of brick pilasters that will be incorporated into a sculptural brick wall. Some will be conical, and others more vessel-like. One, as you can see, has a homemade stoneware lid, which I found along the Wissahickon Creek. When dry these will be salt glazed.

My hope is that the holes I have incorporated into some of the finials will provide shelter for small birds, you never know.
